Institutional investment manager Commonfund has named Cari Lodge as managing director within its private equity arm Commonfund Capital to support its growth within the secondaries space.
Lodge has been an important contributor to the organization’s secondaries investment business and will help lead continued growth within this important investment practice, said Don Pascal, president of Commonfund Capital.
“Since joining Commonfund last year, Cari has added material value to our efforts in the secondaries market which have and will continue to be an important area in our investment business.”
Commonfund Capital’s secondaries practice dates back to the early 1990’s, and under Lodge’s recent direction, it continues to be a performance driver of the business. Secondary investments serve an increasingly important component of Commonfund Capital’s core private equity, venture capital and natural resources investment programmes.
Prior to Commonfund, Lodge was a director within Tulane University’s investment management office where she was responsible for private equity and private real assets investments. Prior to Tulane, she was a director at Credit Suisse Strategic Partners in their secondary programme with over $11bn in commitments and interests.
Commonfund manages over $24bn for nearly 1,500 clients, with Commonfund Capital providing private equity, venture capital and natural resources investment management via funds and managed accounts.
