Lefkowitz is leaving the firm “on very good terms” and remains very involved with CI, said PeHUB, citing a source and a letter from CI chairman and CEO Frederick Iseman.

Iseman said, “Steve has been my right hand for 21 years, helping build CI Capital into an institutional firm of 25 talented professionals.

“I will always be grateful for his contributions. We both know that Steve is ready to run his own show.”

The firm raised $620m for its second fund and is currently planning to launch a third vehicle.
