Bridges Ventures makes four senior appointments


richingsVenture capital firm Bridges Ventures has strengthened its team by making four senior appointments including two former Langholm Capital partners not long after closing its latest fund on £125m.

The London-based firm hired Paul Richings, pictured, as its new chief financial officer, while Oliver Wyncoll and Mark Blower joined its Sustainable Growth Funds team as a partner and an investment director, respectively.

Bridges also appointed Khidhr Shafiq as an associate.

The firm’s new CFO Richings is joining Bridges from Langholm Capital, where he was partner after serving as its CFO.

Like Richings, Wyncoll has also worked at Langholm Capital, serving as its partner and a board director on all of the fund’s UK companies.

Investment director Blower is joining from Gresham Private Equity where he was a partner for four years and responsible for new investments and deal origination activities.

Shafiq previously worked in the in the Assurance and Corporate Finance departments at Deloitte.

Bridges closed its new fund in October last year, six years after gathering £75m for its previous vehicle.
