Mid-market private equity firm Blue Point Capital Partners has hired two new associates for its US operations in Cleveland and Charlotte.
Matthew Beesley was previously an investment banking associate at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company, where he focused on M&A transactions in the metals, industrials and business services sectors.
He also spent time working in the equity research group at Morgan Keegan & Company.
Ralph Isenrick was formerly an investment banking analyst at Wells Fargo Securities, most recently in the middle market M&A group.
Isenrick previously worked in private equity at Ferro Management Group as an analyst.
Blue Point has more than $800m under management and focuses on deals in the US and China, where it has an office in Shanghai.
Last November the firm invested in US pipe and valve maker Smith-Cooper International alongside its Chinese strategic partner CDIB Capital, the overseas private equity arm of merchant banking giant China Development Financial.
