Growth capital investor Beringea has expanded its investment team with two hires.
Rob Hodgkinson will join the London-based firm as an investment manager for the VCTs and Harry Thomas will serve as an analyst responsible for deal origination, research and financial modelling for both the equity-based and debt-based UK investment teams.
Hodgkinson previously worked at NM Rothschild, where he was focused on deals in the energy, leisure and property sectors, and as an investment manager at Ventursome.
Thomas has previously worked in local government, real estate and for two start-ups.
Beringea chief investment officer Trevor Hope said, “We are delighted to be expanding our UK equity investment team. Rob has valuable transaction experience in relevant sectors and will provide further depth to our investment team.
“Harry will focus on sourcing and evaluating potential new deals for our UK portfolio.”
Earlier this month Beringea launched a new debt-based growth finance business with the appointment of Mark Taylor, founder Europe’s first venture debt business, EVP.
