Venture capital firm Battery Ventures has made Chelsea Stoner its first female general partner.
Stoner, who is focused on software and healthcare IT companies, joined Battery in 2006 after working as an associate at private equity firm Key Principal Partners.
She has also worked as a manager at Accenture, where she led technology and strategy projects.
Since its launch 30 years ago the firm has raised $4.5bn and is currently investing a $900m pool of capital.
