Europe-focused private equity firm Argos Soditic has made its second new hire of the year by bringing in Simon Guichard, pictured, as an analyst in its Paris office.
Argos also promoted Nicolas Trani to associate after almost 18 months working as an analyst for the firm.
The buyout firm’s Paris office now houses 11 investment professionals, including four partners, with Karel Kroupa the latest to join the top echelon earlier this year.
Argos’ latest hire and promotion follows the appointment of Guillaume Lefebvre as an analyst and the promotion of Jérémie Falzone to investment manager in March.
Argos, which has offices in Paris, Milan and Geneva, focuses on management buyouts and buy-ins in small and medium-sized companies, taking stakes of €5m to €50m in businesses with revenues of €20m to €40m.
It currently has more than €700m of assets under management and has carried out over 50 deals since inception in 1989.
In July the firm sold its stake in Roc-Eclerc, France’s second largest provider of funeral services, to serial entrepreneur Daniel Abittan and the company’s management team.
