Former Apax Partners senior partner Greg Case has launched a new software and technology investment firm CaseWinn, alongside software veteran Paul Winn.
As a shareholder partner at Apax, Case, pictured, led the firm’s US software and technology investment practice, focusing on growth capital and buyout opportunities in enterprise software, technology-enabled business services, business process outsourcing and internet-based direct marketing. He also spent three years with Investments Orange Nassau in the US and Southeast Asia. He is currently an operating partner at LLR Partners.
Paul Winn is also an operating partner at LLR Partners and has served as CEO of Princeton Softech, Powerquest and Genicom, and as a business segment executive with IBM.
The firm will target companies with revenues of $10m to $50m and up to $40m a deal, PEHub reported. CaseWinn will be investing on a deal-to-deal basis inititally, but has not ruled out raisisng an institutional fund in the future.
