Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz has hired former chief operating officer of Cisco’s WebEx unit Arthur Johnson as an operating partner, his LinkedIn profile shows.
Johnson will focus on corporate development, according to Fortune, which first reported the news.
Prior to joining Cisco in 2010, Johnson worked as a vice president for business development at Rocket Lawyer and vice president for corporate development at Intuit.
He has also served as a senior director of pricing and licensing at Hewlett-Packard and a vice president of Goldman Sachs, where he was focused on technology M&A clients.
Last month the Menlo Park-based firm hired LinkedIn senior product manager Zal Bilimoria as a partner.
Andreessen Horowitz closed its third fund on $1.5bn in January last year, bringing its total capital under management to about $2.7bn.
