Ridgewood Private Equity Partners has appointed Ross Posner as chairman on the back of his 20 years investing and leadership experience across energy and real estate.
Before joining Ridgewood Ross was an executive in Allstate Investments’ private equity businesses where as global group head he created and led Allstate’s infrastructure and real asset private equity business, overseeing a portfolio of over $1 billion.
He joined Allstate Investments in July 2011.
Before that the new hire focused on direct private equity investing at Heritage Partners and Ridge Capital Corporation.
Ridgewood focuses on energy-centric real asset strategies and says it provides “unique access” to best-in-class opportunities throughout the energy value-chain to family offices and ultra high-net-worth individuals.
The firm is part of the affiliated Ridgewood Companies which have raised more than $4.5bn in total capital and commitments focused on direct investments in energy, infrastructure, and other real assets.
