He will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of the finance and administration function for the department. This encompasses portfolio and asset-level valuations, reporting and analytics, transaction support, management information systems and compliance related to the private equity portfolio.
Based in Abu Dhabi, he will report to Hareb Al Darmaki, executive director of the department.
Prior to joining CPPIB in 2008, Keirstead held senior roles at the private equity investment subsidiary of Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) and a number of companies in media, digital entertainment and communications. He began his career at Coopers & Lybrand, later PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Al Darmaki said, “Marc brings considerable expertise in financial andoperational oversight in the private equity space, and we are very pleased to welcome him to the team.”
