Boston-based venture capital firm .406 Ventures has promoted principal Graham Brooks to partner.
Brooks joined .406 as an associate in 2007 and was promoted to senior associate and later to principal. He is focused on early-stage investments in the big data, ad tech and healthcare IT and services sectors.
Brooks has also worked as a software engineer at ALK Associates, which was bought by Trimble, and at Bose’s venture capital arm.
.406 Ventures partner Maria Cirino said, “(Brooks) demonstrated keen investing insights from day one. He’s been a key contributor and has had a meaningful impact on our success over the past seven years.
“We’re delighted to welcome him formally into our partnership and look forward to continuing to work with him for many years to come.”
In July this year .406 promoted principal Greg Dracon to partner after six years at the firm.
The firm closed its second fund just over its$175m target in December 2012.
