US-based alternative credit investment firm Sandton Capital Partners is seeking $350m for its Sandton Credit Solutions On-Shore Fund III, having already raised $193m through commitments from 50 LPs, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The firm invests in alternative credit through underperforming bank loans and rescue finance to troubled companies, while focusing on the US and European markets. It typically invests between $5m and $150m per transaction.
The firm which was founded by Rael Nurick and Tom Wood in 2009, opened its London office in 2012, headed by former Royal Bank of Scotland executive, Tim Vieth.
