Supply Chain Equity Partners, a US-based private equity firm focuses exclusively on the distribution industry, is targeting $50m for its second fund, according to an SEC filing.
Supply Chain Equity Partners II has raised $400,000 to date, the filing revealed, but with a minimum investment size of $500,000 this is likely to have been provided by the firm’s principals, listed in the filing as Nir Gabriely, Jim Miller and Jay Greyson.
The firm acquires or invests solely in wholesale distributors and related logistics companies that are a “critical link in the supply chain”, regardless of sub-sector. The firm was founded by Miller and Gabriely in 2007, raising its inaugural fund that same year.
