Venture capital firm Spark Capital is seeking $375m for its new fund, according to a document filed with US securities regulators.
Spark Capital Growth Fund has yet to register its first commitment, the filing showed.
The Boston-based firm has $1.5bn under management across four funds and is currently investing from its $450m Fund IV, which was closed last year.
Spark’s investments range from $500,000 to $25m. The firm said that its “sweet spot is early stage startups, generally the first venture round, with a focus on Internet and mobile investments.”
Earlier this year Spark, whose previous investees include Twitter, led a $16m Series B round for Postmates to fund the on demand delivery service’s further growth and geographical expansion.
