Round Hill Music has raised nearly $70m for its $200m-targeting royalty fund, according to a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The fund has received commitments of $69.75m from 19 LPs, the filing showed.
The New York-based firm, which is led by former Gruss & Co partner Josh Gruss, is focused on acquiring the rights to catalogues of music.
Earlier this month the firm bought the Big Tractor catalog of country music which includes songs such as “Doin’ What She Likes,” by Blake Shelton and “All Over The Road,” by Easton Corbin.
