Renaissance commits $4m to Plymouth Venture Partners III


Michigan-based fund of funds Renaissance Venture Capital Fund has made a $4m commitment to local VC firm Plymouth Ventures‘ third fund.

The firm invests in growth stage companies in the Great Lakes region.

Plymouth Venture Partners III has a target of $60m, and follows the $41m Fund II and the $23m Fund I. PVP III began investing in January 2014 and has made one investment to date.

The Renaissance Venture Capital Fund is initiative of Business Leaders for Michigan, and is Renaissance Venture Capital Fund is the largest privately funded organization of its kind in the US.

Funds in its portfolio include 5AM Ventures, Allos Ventures, Arboretum Ventures, Arsenal Venture Partners, Draper Triangle, Mercury, Flagship Ventures, H.I.G. Bioventures, MK Capital, RPM Ventures and TGAP Ventures.
