Pantheon secures private equity investment mandate from Germany’s BVK


german flag 2_sqPrivate equity firm Pantheon has secured an investment mandate from German pension fund Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK).

The investment programme will be focused on primary buyout, growth equity and venture capital funds in mature markets in North America, Europe and Australia and growth markets in Asia, Latin America and Africa.

Pantheon, which has been working with BVK since 2007, will also make secondary investments and co-investment deals, the firm said in a statement.

Pantheon’s chief investment officer Chris Meads said, “We are delighted that BVK has decided to continue our partnership. Focusing on the potential for outstanding investment performance across established and emerging markets, we will work closely with the Alternative Investment Team at BVK to deliver this global programme.”
