US secondaries investor Montauk TriGuard is seeking to raise $400m for its latest fund, Dow Jones has reported.
Montauk TriGuard acquires limited partnership interests in private equity funds on a secondary basis. The firm currently manages approximately $1bn dedicated solely to private equity secondaries, including in consortia carve-outs and strips, tertiary liquidity, specialty funds, fund manager liquidity, seasoned tail-ends, and small transactions.
Most recently, the firm raised $300m for Montauk TriGuard Fund V.
Existing LP Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, recently committed $50m to the new vehicle, the report said.
