Amsterdam-based private equity firm Mentha Capital has hit a €51m first close for its latest fund.
Mentha Capital Fund IV, which is focused on lower mid-market companies based in Benelux, is expected to reach its €100m target by June 30 this year at the latest, the firm said in a statement.
The new fund has made two deals including investments in customs services company Customs Support and self-adhesive label maker Etiket Nederland.
“This achievement signals the strong confidence of our investors in Mentha’s ability to exploit opportunities in the Benelux buy-out market. Upon being fully invested for Fund III in the course of 2013, the two investments closed in the last six months prove that Mentha continues to get deals done,” said Mentha.
“Moreover, strong progress in the portfolio underpins our investment strategy and is helping to build our track record.”
Mentha’s other portfolio companies include recruitment agencyKP&T Projectadvies, which received a majority investment from the firm in summer 2012.
