Real estate investment firm Meadow Partners has raised nearly three quarters of its $400m-targeting second fund.
Meadow Real Estate Fund II has gathered almost $295m from 11 LPs, a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission showed.
LPs which have backed the fund include The University of Texas Investment Management Company, which committed $75m in February this year.
The amount raised to date exceeds the size of its $200m first fund, which was closed in 2009.
Meadow’s new vehicle will make investments of $10m to $24m in properties in London and New York.
The first fund has completed eleven deals totaling $750m of capitalisation and comprised of over 1.2 million square feet of commercial space and 1226 residential units.
Asset management firm BlackRock has recently launched a new property investment fund, which has raised £250m from six pension funds.
