Venture capital firm Golden Gate is reportedly nearing a first close for its latest fund.
The Southeast Asia-focused firm has raised $35m from LPs including Singapore’s National Research Foundation, said private Equity International.
A year ago it was reported that Golden gate was planning to launch its second fund with a $40m target within a year.
The vehicle, which follows Golden Gate’s $10m debt fund closed in 2012, will focus on Series A rounds in Southeast Asian tech businesses.
