Exponent to launch £800m third fund

London_bridgeLondon firm Exponent Private Equity is reportedly seeking £800m for its new fund.

Exponent is expected to start raising the fund in the third quarter of 2014, two people with knowledge of the matter told Bloomberg.

The firm has hired Campbell Lutyens and Co to help raise the fund, said the sources.

Exponent recently appointed Oliver Bower, Mark Taylor and Craig Vickery as partners, while two partners, Richard Campin and Richard Tudor, left the firm.

Earlier this month it was reported that Exponent was looking to exit its portfolio company Pattonair, which has a price tag of more than $500m.
