Former New Enterprise Associates executive Yanev Suissa is nearing the launch of a new venture capital fund targeting tech companies which work with the public sector.
Sinewave Ventures will target $100m for its debut vehicle according to peHub, which cited two people with knowledge of the plans.
The fund will look for deals in areas including technology infrastructure, systems and services as well as education, preventative health and finance.
Suissa also spent three years as senior investment officer for the Bush and Obama administrations between 2007 and 2010.
While at NEA he focused on earlier-stage investments including enterprise and cloud, digital media and consumer technology companies.
He also focused on supply and demand-side business across renewable technology and advised energy companies in NEA’s portfolio.
