A fund managed by former vice chairman of the merchant banking division of Goldman Sachs Henry Cornell has secured more than $900m.
Cornell Capital Special Situations Partners (CCSSP) I has received commitments of $921m from 17 LPs, according to a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The fund is managed by henry Cornell and has a minimum commitment requirement of $2m, the filing showed.
CCSSP I registered its first commitment earlier this month. It did not specify what the target was and whether the fund has been closed.
The veteran dealmaker retired from Goldman in February last year after almost 30 years with the investment bank.
