Former 500 Startups partner Paul Singh is seeking $50m for his new venture fund.
Crystal Tech Fund, which is managed by the venture investor, has yet to secure its first commitment and does not have a minimum investment requirement, according to a document filed with US securities regulators.
Singh is raising the fund without a placement agent, the filing showed.
Singh left 500 Startups in March last year to focus on developing Dashboard.io, which is a benchmarking platform for startups.
While at the firm, Singh oversaw investments in more than 500 companies in over 35 countries.
He is also the founder of Disruption Corporation which provides tools, research and advisory services to corporations, angel investors and venture capital firms.
