DCM seeks $250m for latest venture capital fund

china beijing_sqVenture capital firm DCM is seeking $250m for its latest fund three years after closing the previous vehicle on $400m.

DCM Ventures China Fund, VII which does not have a minimum investment requirement, has yet to register its first commitment, according to a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The technology-focused firm currently has $2bn under management across seven funds. It has invested in more than 200 companies in the US and Asia since its inception in 1996.

Earlier this month DCM led a $10m Series B for location and communication app Life360.

The firm’s other recent deals included investments in digital curriculum provider LearnZillion and Chinese social gaming developer Cmune.
