Milan-based private equity firm Consilium is reportedly nearing a first close for its latest fund.
The firm will hold a first close of €80m, according to Private Equity International.
Consilium is currently managing its €150m first fund raised in 2006, which currently has four portfolio companies after making four exits. Its most recent deal was the sale of a stake in linear rails manufacturer Rollon Group to Chequers Capital. In July the firm bought a majority stake in drink dispensing company Celli.
The firm is focused on making majority investments in Italian SMEs with revenues of €20m to €80m.
