Private equity firm BV Investment Partners has reportedly raised $262m for its eighth fund.
BVIP Fund VIII, which is targeting $400m could reach its hard cap in summer, said PeHUB, citing a person with knowledge of the fundraise.
The source did not say what the hard cap was, said the report.
LPs that have backed the fund include Arkansas Teachers’ Retirement System, which approved a $30m commitment this week.
The fund has made two deals, having invested in INetU and recapitalised Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing Co.
BV’s previous investment fund was closed on between $400m and $500m in 2008.
Last summer AltAssets revealed that BV had made more than three times its initial investment through the fast turnaround of former 3i portfolio company Butterfield Fulcrum.
