Founder of security company AGT International Mati Kochavi has launched his own venture fund.
The firm, Moonscape Ventures, has received $120m in funding from AGT to invest $500,000 to $5m into early-stage sartups around the globe, Kochavi, pictured, told Dow Jones.
Moonscape is focused on the internet of things, media, data visualization and smart-city technologies.
A recent report showed that the highest number of IPOs in Europe since 2006 has seen venture capital exit opportunities nearly double.
Venture capital firms were able to benefit from 19 VC-backed IPOs in the last quarter, up from 11 in the first three months of this year, Dow Jones said in its Venture Source report.
The firms raised €407m via their companies’ listings, compared to €449m in the first quarter of this year.
