Private equity firm Aequitas Capital is reportedly nearing a first close for its latest fund.
Aequitas Capital Opportunities Fund is set to hit a $75m first close this month, said peHUB, citing a source. The fund has already done five deals and is currently working on its sixth investment, according to the report.
The Lake Oswego, Oregon-based firm is targeting $100m for the vehicle, which is its first institutional fund.
Aequitas invests in education, financial services and healthcare companies.
Similar sized private equity funds currently in the market include Oakland Energy and Water Ventures’ second stage vehicle, which was launched with a $100m target last month.
