West Lane taps debut fund for cosmetics brand business Fantasy Files Group


West Lane Capital Partners, the private equity house launched by Creo Capital co-founder Nick Sternberg, has picked up a majority stake in cosmetic product business Fantasy Files Group.

The firm made the investment through its debut fund closed last year, which is being used to target control buyouts of small and mid-market businesses in the broader consumer, food & beverage, manufacturing, logistics and distribution industries throughout North America.

Fantasy Filed produces products skin, hair and body-care products under the Blossom, Blue Cross and Savina brands.

Sternberg, the managing partner of West Lane, said, “The range of products offered by the company have attracted a large and loyal customer base, and we are planning on launching various new and innovative products in the near future.”

Prior to co-founding Creo Capital Sternberg was an investment banker with MOrgan Stanley and JP Morgan. He was also previously COO of Capital Brands/Nutribullet.

Creo, which focuses on the food and consumer space, hit a $125m final close for its fourth fund in February last year.
