Waterland Private Equity exits Germany’s Windrose Finest Travel

Dutch private equity firm Waterland Private Equity has sold German luxury travel company Windrose Finest Travel to RV Touristik’s acquisition of for an undisclosed amount.

Waterland Private Equity acquired Windrose Finest Travel in 2008 from founder Dr Hans-Peter Holzinger, who kept a minority stake and has now sold its remaining stake.

Over the past five years, Waterland’s successful involvement focused on further developing the organisation and its market positioning through modernisation of the brand image, strengthening the sales structure and implementation of new IT processes.

Jörg Dreisow, managing principal of Waterland, said, “The combination of Windrose and RV Touristk is the ideal constellation for all parties in order to realise further sustainable growth and to benefit from revenue synergies on both sides.”

Just last month, Waterland announced plans to open its first office in Munich, in a bid to target more investments in southern Germany as well as in Switzerland and Austria.
