Water-powered anti-cancer business NxThera raises $20m Series C


water spring_lrgA company aiming to treat cancers with water vapour and the power of steam has pulled in more than its hoped-for $20m as it closed off a Series C financing round.

Aboretum Venture and Aberdare Ventures have previously invested in the medical device company, which gathered $21.6m for its Series B round in late 2011.

The company uses technology which relies on energy from water vapour to attempt to treat ailments including prostate and kidney cancers.

No details about investors were given regarding the latest funding round.
