car dashboard_sqWarburg Pincus has exited its investment in Service Repair Solutions (SRS) by selling it to fellow private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe.

SRS provides mission-critical data, information services and workflow software to the automotive service and repair industry. Its software was used to inspect, diagnose and repair more than 50 million vehicles in 2012, nearly 1 out of every 5 vehicles on the road.

Warburg acquired the company in 2003 and has since backed it for the acquisitions of Identifix in 2005 and of iATN in 2007.

Earlier this month Warburg exited Constitution Medical Investors (CMI), which was sold to Swiss drugmaker Roche for $220m.

The firm has recently submitted a second round bid for fellow buyout firm Carlyle’s aerospace communications firm Arinc.
