Thompson Street Capital Partners has picked up accessible communications tech business T-Base as the latest deal from the $1.15bn fund it closed last year.
Canadian company T-Base provides software helping low-vision and blind people access documents through braille, large print and accessible PDFs.
Thompson Street managing director Craig Albrecht said, “Enterprises are increasingly recognizing the benefits of accessible communications for their low-vision and blind customers.
“T-Base has become a trusted accessibility partner for market-leading organizations through its investment in technology and focus on security, reliability and scalability.”
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed, although Thompson Street has been using Fund V to invest between $25m and $150m in companies in the healthcare and life sciences, software and technology, business services and engineered products sectors.
The firm hauled in $1.15bn for a hard cap final close of its Fund V in July last year, smashing its initial $850m target and finishing almost twice the size of its $640m fourth fund.
