The Riverside Company sells Coeur to Illinois Tool Works

10 Oct 2012

Global mid-market buyout house The Riverside Company has sold disposable medical products maker Coeur Holding Company to Illinois Tool Works.

Riverside said Coeur – whose products are used in diagnostic imaging and other medical procedures – has grown in sales and EBITDA since the firm took control in 2008, although financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal is Riverside’s second in the healthcare sector in the last three weeks, following the buyout of Future Medical, which will be added to the firm’s platform investment in Specialized Medical Services.
