Sweden’s Ratos hires banks to help exit window, doormaker Inwido

17 Mar 2014

exit 15_sqListed Swedish private equity firm Ratos has reportedly hired a pair of banks to run a potential listing or sale of window and doormaker Inwido.

The firm bought into Inwido way back in 2004, and sold the company’s home improvement arm to fellow Swedish buyout house Priveq in 2012.

Ratos has hired Carnegie and Handelsbanken to advise on the exit according to Reuters, which cited two people familiar with the matter.

Inwido had EBITDA of SEK407m ($64m) last year on sales of SEK4.3bn, mostly across the Nordic region.

Last year Ratos agreed to acquire a 73 per cent stake in Norway’s fifth largest construction company HENT for NOK310m ($53.2m) from Heimdal Gruppen and its financial investors.

The business is focused on project development and management, which are carried out by a network of sub-contractors.
