Liberty Global Ventures, Vintage Investment Partners also participated in the round, as did existing backers Carmel Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners and Norwest Venture Partners.
The round takes the total amount of funds raised by the company to $37m.
SundaySky said it expects further growth this year after seeing its revenues triple in 2012. Over the past year, the number of its viewers has more than tripled to 140m.
