Sun Capital exits investment in Manoir Aerospace

aeroTurnaround-focused private equity firm Sun Capital Partners has agreed to sell Manoir Aerospace to automotive, aerospace and medical-focused Lisi Group.

Sun first became affiliated with Manoir in 2007 when it bought Manoir Industries. The aerospace division of the company reported revenue of €164m in 2013, with 1,100 employees based in France, Belgium and Mexico.

In March last year Manoir completed the sale of its Petrochemical & Specialties division to a strategic buyer, with the proceeds used to significantly deleverage the remaining aerospace business.

Manoir Aerospace specialises in metal forging for aerospace applications.

The deal is the fifth exit completed by Sun’s buyout funds this year, and follows eight exits and two IPOs in 2013.

In March the firm sold fluid power and power train products distributor Certified Power to Brinkmere Capital Partners.
