RRJ Capital, Temasek back China’s Shanghai Yupei Group

china beijing_sqPrivate equity firm RRJ Capital and Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund Temasek have backed Chinese logistics business Shanghai Yupei Group with a $250m investment.

Yupei is also backed by private equity firms Carlyle and The Townsend Group, which invested $200m in the business last year.

Yupei said the funds will covers its equity financing needs for the foreseeable future.

Earlier this year it was reported that another China-based company backed by RRJ, nappy and diaper business AAB Group, was looking to raise up to $300m in its Hong Kong IPO.

The listing could yield a return of as much as four times to RRJ, said Reuters.
