Private equity firm The Riverside Company has exited its investment in OnCourse Learning Corporation, which offers training programmes with a focus on financial services, real estate and IT industries.
Since Riverside made its investment in OnCourse in 2007, the company has completed six add-on deals including the acquisition of online training courses provider CompuTaught and invested in training content and technology infrastructure.
Earlier reports said that CIP Capital was in pole position to acquire OnCourse from Riverside.
Riverside managing partner Loren Schlachet said, “We’re very proud of the work we’ve done to develop OnCourse into an exceptional company. We started by building a deep and effective management team, then worked with them to create a world-class training provider and platform for future growth.”
Riverside closed its latest fund on $1.5bn in January, exceeding its initial target by 50 per cent.
The fund will targets North American companies with enterprise values of up to $250m and EBITDA between $5m and $25m.
