The company comprises Move with Us and DC Law, which are focused on conveyancing and the probate specialist Chorus Law.
The firm said that it aims to build the UK’s largest legal services provider, with multiple routes to market.
Back in 2011 Palamon backed QualitySolicitors, which has a network of partner firms in 200 locations across the UK handling more than £200m of legal work per year.
The UK high-street legal market currently comprises more than 10,000 firms with combined annual revenues of over £13bn. Regulatory changes in the country have put increasing pressure on margins, while consumers are increasingly expecting greater choice and control over how they access legal services, said Palamon.
Palamon partner Daan Knottenbelt said, “ The scale and technological expertise of Simplify coupled with the national high street coverage and consumer reach of QualitySolicitors will provide multiple growth opportunities for both companies.”
Earlier this month Palamon agreed to exit its investment in fraud prevention tech firm Retail Decisions for a return of 2.5 times.
