Under the proposed terms, PAI would hold a majority stake alongside founder Yves Journel.
DomusVi, which operates nearly 200 centres and more than 15,000 beds, posted revenues of €647m last year.
PAI partner Frédéric Stévenin said, “Our common goal is to reinforce DomusVi’s position as a leader in the French market and look at pursuing further growth opportunities in Europe and elsewhere.
“We will back the management team as it looks to deliver this new phase in the company’s development.”
Earlier this month PAI sold its stake in travel retail business Nuance Groupin a deal which values the business at CHF1.55bn.
