AME Cloud Ventures also took part in the round alongside Imperial Innovations, Wellington Partners, Open Ocean and Delin Capital.
The company said the investment would be used to expand its team across London and San Francisco and further develop its data extraction technology.
Import.io provides data extraction technology to turn messy websites into structured tables of data they can actually use, without writing a single line of code.
The company also offers a data feeds product for organisations that want large volumes of pre-cleaned, process-ready data provided to them directly.
Oxford Capital investment director Martyn Holman said, “The range of applications for Import.io is almost limitless.
“They have developed a completely new way to extract, process and deliver web data, solving an increasingly urgent need for data-driven businesses around the world.
“Import.io has experienced rapid growth throughout 2015, proving that they are uniquely positioned to be the source of this data for companies large and small. I’m excited to be a part of their continued success.”
