Osprey Capital invests in iNDEXX Markets

osprey birdVenture capital firm Osprey Capital, which recently sealed its first exit for a 12x return , has added business support services group iNDEXX Markets to its portfolio.

The firm did not disclose how much it invested in the business, which creates innovative managed indices for fund management groups and advisory firms.

Working with investment banks, iNDEXX launched a series of asset-allocated indices in December last year, which have already attracted investments of $200m of institutional investments.

Ronan Kearney, Osprey Capital chairman, said, “This is an exciting time for Osprey Capital and we are very pleased to be investing in iNDEXX Markets, demonstrating our preference and expertise for retail financial services.

“The demand for iNDEXX Markets’ offering is incredibly strong and we look forward watching it grow in the future.”

Osprey Capital, which has been around for nearly five years, invests in companies focused on UK retail financials.

The firm has recently made a return of almost 12 times from its first exit by selling retail financial product advisory firm Allium Capital.

Last month AltAssets reported that Kearney had no plans to hold a fundraiser or change his firm’s investment model.
