Self-service ticketing company Eventbrite has raised $60m in its most recent investment round, giving the company a valuation of close to $1bn.
Investment came from hedge fund Tiger Global and private equity firm T. Rowe Price, existing backers who participated in the company’s $60m funding round in April 2013.
Eventbrite is an online ticketing service that allows event organisers to plan, set up ticket sales and promote events and publish them across Facebook, Twitter and other social-networking tools.
The company has raised a total of $200m in investment from backers including Sequoia Capital, DAG Ventures and Tenaya Capital.
