Growth and expansion-focused private equity firm NewSpring Capital has led a $50m Series C financing round in Arlington,Virginia-based LookingGlass Cyber Solutions.
The company, developing software for digital threats protection, has also announced the acquisition of open-source threat intelligence specialist Cyveillance as another move to strengthen and expand its capabilities.
The new round of funding will support this latest purchase and also provide capital for further growth initiatives including product development, further product integration, international expansion, sales, marketing and customer support, LookingGlass said.
Glenn Rieger, general partner at NewSpring, commented, ““LookingGlass’ product suite addresses every stage of the threat intelligence lifecycle, providing an outstanding breadth of data, actionable insights and automated responses.”
Last month, NewSpring backed an $11m investment in Sock and Accessory Brands Global, using capital from its dedicated mezzanine fund.
