Leonard Green buys controlling stake in CCC Information Services

Retail-focused private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners has agreed to buy a controlling stake in car insurance claims software specialist CCC Information Services from Investcorp.

JP Morgan and Goldman Sachs provided debt financing for the deal, with the latter also providing mezzanine funding.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“CCC has built a fantastic business by relentlessly focusing on value added solutions for their customers,” said Leonard Green managing partner John Danhakl.“They have a compelling view of the future, and we look forward to working with the team to help grow and expand in innovative ways.”

Leonard Green is currently investing through a $6bn fund that closed on its hard cap this summer.

Last month the LA-based firm partnered with Ares Management to buy US healthcare staffing business CHG Healthcare Services from JW Childs Associates.
