This is the first location added to the rural accommodation group since the initial investment from LDC in September last year.
The new site is located an hour’s train ride from central London and has 60 luxury woodland cabins. Forest Holidays now has cabins set in Forestry Commission estates across the UK.
LDC investment director Andy Grove said, “The new site roll-out in Hampshire brings many strategic and operational benefits to the business, and represents an exciting growth opportunity for Forest Holidays as they look to build a presence in this key region, with close proximity to London.
“LDC is committed to actively supporting management teams in their expansion strategies and we will continue to work closely with the Forest Holidays team to identify further site roll out opportunities in the future.”
Earlier this month LDC sold technology services provider Trustmarque Solutions to UK mid-market private equity firm Dunedin.
Some of its other recent deals included the management buyout of Rimor, a provider of precision manufacturing and engineering services predominantly to the subsea oil & gas industry.
